Αναμειγνύοντας την ανατολή με τη δύση, η ταινία κινείται ανάμεσα σε δύο εποχές της Ινδίας: τη γεμάτη παλμό σύγχρονη και λαμπερή, μυστήρια και παλαιά. Βρισκόμαστε στη σύγχρονη εποχή όπου η Αν ταξιδεύει στην Ινδία για να διαλευκάνει ένα ερωτικό σκάνδαλο που ξέσπασε πριν 60 χρόνια και που σχετίζεται με την Ολίβια, μια προγονή της και έναν Ινδό πρίγκιπα.
